Avec Sans is a London-based electro-pop group signed to American indie label Beverly Martel. The band is made up of Alice Fox (vocals, producer) and Jack St. James (electronics, producer). Their debut album ‘Heartbreak Hi’ charted in the top 40 in the electronic charts on iTunes.

Heartbreak Hi was listed in The Times’ Essential Tracks feature alongside the latest releases from Bjork, Underworld and White Denim and was described as "marvellously bittersweet electro-pop". The NME said Avec Sans are "a cut above your average duo… right on the sweet spot between hazy '80s Nostalgia and 21st century introspection."
Avec Sans have toured internationally and have featured at a number of music industry events, playing at Canadian Music Week in Toronto and receiving funding from PRS for Music in support of the trip. They played at CMJ, New York and South by Southwest in 2016. They have supported Little Boots, Capital Cities, Kate Boy, Bright Light, Bright Light, The Human League and were the main support for Ladyhawke on her Wild Things tour in the UK. They've played live for BBC Introducing, on the main stage at Bingley Music Live with acts such as The Pet Shop Boys, Example and Gorgon City and at festivals including Redfest, Pride, Butlin's Music Weekenders and Kendal Calling.
In 2017 they undertook their first headline tour of America, spanning from New York, across the entire breadth of America and finishing in San Francisco, in a two-week run of shows. They also played a headline tour of the UK in 2017 and have played shows and festivals across Europe.
Their track When You Go appeared on season one of MTV Television Scream. Close My Eyes was used to conclude Season 1 of Nev Schulman's show MTV Suspect and The Answer was used on Season 1 Episode 9 of MTV's Are You the One?. The band's tracks have also been played nationally across the UK and America in retail outlets. Their music has been used on the catwalks of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. They have been named band of the year by Dolce & Gabbana and they've scored a series of upcoming adverts to run across North America for a major brand TV campaign. Avec Sans have also appeared in person on TV in Canada and the UK.
Avec Sans are currently working on their second album and have recently been in the studio with Stephen Lipson (Annie Lennox, Pet Shop Boys, Hans Zimmer, Pharrell) and working with other producers including Max Dingel: Goldfrapp, The Killers, Muse, White Lies and London-based Benbrick, a multi-platinum selling writer whose work includes Troy Sivan’s Gasoline.
